Miromind is an international SEO agency that works with multiple industries across dozens of countries. The client is a substance abuse rehabilitation center that focuses on alternative addiction treatment. The company needed to move from one site to another seamlessly without losing the hard-earned rankings while improving its visibility on Google.
The Challenge
Since the client is a rehabilitation center, it has a narrow audience and a sizable competition. It was not a simple website migration from one domain to another. The clinic content had to be moved to an existing website that had zero visibility. The goal was to arrange a smooth migration while boosting the rankings of the new website.
What We Did
The Miromind team began by scanning the existing website to ensure that the content was in top shape. The content management experts evaluated which content has higher rankings and should be transferred to the new website, which elements can stay behind, and which new pages must be created.
Next, we ran an extensive audit of the website we were transferring the existing content to. The technical audit revealed issues with page loading speed, bulky images, faulty sitemaps, improper linking, and much more.
Miromind developed a full website migration strategy, which included a redirect plan, internal linking tactics, and new content development. It involved:
- Full migration of blog posts from one website to another
- Clearing all junk tags from the Divi builder
- Creating a template for blog post pages that included the author bio
- Designing new content pages to target core keywords
After the migration, we ran a post-migration audit to make sure the process was completed seamlessly.
Results
The migration from the old to the new website was successful. The old content was transferred seamlessly while the new one was added according to the SEO strategy. In just a few weeks, the traffic to the website went from nearly zero to around 30,000 visitors. The new clinic website demonstrated an impressive 2.9% CTR. Thanks to the concentrated SEO efforts, the new website is in the top 3 in the SERPs for 55 out of 85 core keywords.
